Cheap Shots Reflect on the ShooterLast weekend’s tediously long Dorchester Conference “tent show” was laced with numerous jokes implying that Hillary Clinton is fat. Other “conservatives” seem eager to make an issue of the rhyme between Obama and Osama. Ann Coulter implied that John Edwards’ sexual orientation was doubtful. Come on? Is this playground behavior the best that Republicans can manage? When “politics as usual” is characterized by lame taunts and devoid of any intelligent debate of issues, it’s no wonder that voters sit at home. If the Republican Party continues to demonstrate its “values” in such childish ways, then it deserves to linger in the minority for a good long time.
