Nanny Frist Still Pushing Gambling Ban

Two weeks ago Senate Republican leader Bill Frist tried to add an internet gambling ban to a defense authorization bill. Now he’s adding it to a port security bill being rushed to completion.

How does the Senate leader of the Party that denounces the “nanny state” justify such prioritization of this issue? And if it truly rates this much attention why not debate it on its own merits rather than sliding it in with other bills.

This man wants to be your President. As I’ve run my long-shot campaign, some have knocked my lack of political experience. Well, Frist is experienced. I’ll give him that.

update 9/30; Congratulations. The bill passed. We can all feel safer now that our ports are safe and we can’t gamble on the internet.

Michael

Comment from Paul Davis:

I guess we can say he is one of those “Republican in name only” types.

He apparently rejects principals 1,3,5 and 6 of the “Republican Principals”

Comment from Vita:

It seems to me the results of current Republican Party votes has are some major nannyisms. They need YOU to get them back on track. Yay for you.
