Republican Debate 5:00 PacificTen Republican presidential candidates will crowd the stage Thursday evening at the Reagan Library in California (my invitation must have been lost in the mail). It will be broadcast on MSNBC. Will we see anything meaningful? Any glimpses of leadership, or creative thinking? I’m hoping Ron Paul can distinguish himself, and I hope Rudy Giuliani does well. I don’t expect anything very dazzling from the rest of the mob. I’ll keep track of the questions and post my responses right here. Michael Previous: War Czar? Here’s another way to learn where the Republican candidates stand on the issues… http://www.ExpertVoter.org gary Posted by Gary May 3, 09:41 AM # Comment from Gary: Michael, one further point. Your omission from the debates is dead wrong. It’s a tactic of “old media” that will not stand as the campaigns move ever further onto the internet. But in your case, you’re your own worst enemy as well. You still don’t have a SINGLE youtube issue video uploaded. This costs you nothing – no invitation required. So you have a bit of catching up to do yourself if you’re serious about this campaign. Personally I’m doing everything I can to promote candidates like you who are traditionally left out in the cold. But unless you get moving, I don’t know what you realistically expect. gary Posted by Gary May 3, 12:03 PM # Comment from Michael Smith: Fair point Gary, I’ll see what I can put together for video. As far as the “old media” and the debates – the candidates are complicit. The “frontrunners” would rather not share the stage with anyone who might rock the boat.
