Why are you running?I’m a Republican who is frustrated that the most prominent voices of the Republican Party are those of the extreme right and religious fundamental community. I’d like to see a more moderate discussion within the Republican Party that reflects more accurately the views of the people. I have a well rounded education and experience in the military, international business, and a perspective from the working middle class. I’m willing to speak up for what I believe is right, and unwillingly to cater my message to specific interest groups. Not everyone will see it my way, but everyone will understand how I see it; I will spell it out clearly. The Oregon primary is my best bet to influence the discussion with limited resources. Rather than Oregon simply reiterating a choice that has been determined by previous primaries, I’m proposing that Oregon send a choice to the nominating convention to fully represent Oregon and that Oregon’s endorsement of the national candidate not be taken for granted by the established party powers.
