School Vouchers

The first amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; As much as I dislike school prayer, I do feel that some accommodation should be made for parents to raise their children with the education they feel appropriate.

I can’t support direct government funding of religious education, but I think the tax code should offset the tuition costs of private elementary and secondary education much the same way local property taxes (which support the public schools) are offset from income taxes.
